Support That Starts With
the Person, Not the Service
Everyone deserves to live with dignity, choice, connection and possibility.
Lifest HealthCare provides personalised disability, home and health support across Brisbane and South East Queensland, including support for people with complex needs.
What defines us is not just what we provide, but how we show up. We listen, work alongside people, and build support around their goals, routines, relationships, culture, strengths and the life they want to lead.
About Us
More Than a Provider. A Partner in Everyday Life
Lifest HealthCare was founded on a simple belief: the right support should do more than meet everyday needs, it should create opportunities to live with greater choice, confidence and connection.
Supporting the community since 2019, that belief has shaped Lifest HealthCare into a multidisciplinary team supporting participants and families across South East Queensland built on relationships, trust and consistent, person-centred care. Our approach brings together professional expertise with genuine human understanding, ensuring support is considered not only in terms of what needs to be done, but what matters most to the person receiving it.
From everyday assistance and community participation to complex clinical care, Home & Living supports and coordinated services, Lifest HealthCare supports people through different stages, circumstances and transitions in life. As needs evolve, our focus remains on delivering thoughtful, responsive support that respects each person's individuality, preferences and aspirations.
Through every service, every relationship and every decision, one principle remains at the heart of Lifest HealthCare:
"Getting to know you is where our support begins."

Our story
Built Around Better Support
-
2019
Lifest HealthCare Begins
Lifest HealthCare was founded in 2019 by Maria Mervyn, a Registered Nurse with a strong commitment to disability support, health and person-centred service delivery. What began with a belief in providing better, more individualised support developed through relationships with participants, families and the wider care community
-
Growing Through Trust
Much of Lifest's growth has been built through relationships, reputation and word of mouth. As participant needs expanded, so did the organisation's team, capabilities and range of services.
-
100+ Team Members
By 2025, Lifest HealthCare had grown to a team of more than 100 people supporting participants across South East Queensland.
-
500+ Participants Supported
Lifest has supported more than 500 NDIS participants across its journey. But the number we care about most will always be one: the person in front of us
Our approach
-
1
EMPOWER
We empower, not just support. Where appropriate, we help people build confidence and skills rather than doing everything for them.
-
2
MEET
We meet people where they are. Support needs can change. We work with participants as circumstances, goals and preferences change.
-
3
INCLUDE
We include everyone. We value participants, families, carers and other professionals involved in someone's support.
-
4
RESPONSIBILITY
We take responsibility seriously. Good care requires qualified people, clear processes, safe practice and accountability.
Team
The people matter.
We are a team of nurses, coordinators, therapists and support workers united by one purpose: helping people in our Queensland community live their very best lives.

What Makes Lifest Different?
We Do Not Begin With "What Service Do You Need?"
We begin with: What matters to you?
From there, we look at the support, people and practical arrangements that may help.

Independence does not mean doing everything alone.
It means having the right assistance to exercise greater choice, participate in decisions and build confidence where possible.
Sometimes the right approach is hands-on support. Sometimes it is prompting. Sometimes it is encouragement. And sometimes it is knowing when to step back.
-
Some people have support histories involving hospital discharge, significant mental-health needs, complex behaviour, multiple health professionals or difficult transitions.
We do not believe complexity should make someone feel like a problem to be solved.
It means we need to listen more carefully, collaborate well and create a support approach that reflects the whole situation.
-
Lifest's leadership and service teams bring experience across nursing, disability, mental health, complex care, workforce development and quality.
That professional knowledge is important.
But equally important is knowing how to build trust, communicate respectfully and make someone feel comfortable in their own home and community.
-
Past experiences can influence how people respond to support, environments, communication and change.
Our approach aims to create safety, predictability, respect and choice rather than assuming one style of support works for everyone.
-
People bring their own culture, family, identity, language, routines, beliefs and life experiences into every support relationship.
We believe good support should recognise those differences rather than expect people to leave them at the door.
