NDIS Centre Based Supports &
Group Participation
Finding your place in the community is not just about showing up; it is about joining activities, trying new things, and making your day meaningful in a supportive environment.
Participation Should Mean More Than Attendance
We believe in providing opportunities where you can make real choices, build self-confidence, and learn skills at your own pace.
What Would You Like to Do More Of?
There is not one activity programme that works for everyone. Some participants want to meet people and develop friendships. Some want to build everyday skills. Others want to become more confident communicating, joining groups or trying unfamiliar activities.
Depending on current programmes, participant goals and support requirements, opportunities may include:

Social & Group Activities
Connect with peers in a relaxed setting.

Cooking & Life Skills
Learn practical skills for everyday living.

Creative Activities
Express yourself through art, music, and crafts.

Recreation
Enjoy sport, leisure and outdoor activities.

Health & Wellbeing
Build healthy habits at a pace that suits you.

Community
Get involved and feel part of local life.

Personal
Focus on goals that matter most to you.

Group Activities, Individual Goals
Even in a group setting, your personal goals remain the priority. We focus on how the activity helps you achieve what is important to you.
- Cooking: For one person, it might be about following a recipe. For another, it is about the social interaction of sharing a meal.
- Going Out: It could be about navigating public transport, or simply feeling comfortable in a busy environment.

Turning Shared Experiences Into Personal Progress
Participating alongside other people can create opportunities that are difficult to replicate through one-to-one support alone. Shared activities naturally encourage communication, cooperation, patience, decision-making and learning from others. Through Lifest HealthCare's Centre-Based Supports and Group Participation in Brisbane, participants can experience these social opportunities in environments where their individual communication styles, interests and support requirements remain recognised. Lifest focuses on ensuring the person does not become lost within the group simply because an activity is being shared.
At Lifest HealthCare, successful group participation is not measured by how many activities someone attends. What matters is whether those experiences are meaningful to the participant and contribute to something they value. A regular group may gradually become a familiar social network, a new activity may uncover an unexpected interest, or practising a skill alongside others may increase someone's confidence using that skill elsewhere. Lifest aims to create participation opportunities that can have value beyond the activity itself and contribute positively to everyday life.
